A little bit of stress is not a bad thing.

The problem occurs when you are constantly in that stressful state and not allowing yourself to come down from it, relax and take time out.

…but let’s face it, this past year has put so much stress on everyone!

Even when we don’t ‘feel’ stressed there are so many reminders about the turmoil of the virus has put the world in, the stress is just bubbling away in the background.

As the Spring days and lighter nights are upon us…as well as seeing a bit of light at the end of the lockdown tunnel…let’s take some time outdoors away from the stress of the news. Breath in the fresh air. Notice what you notice…and just be.

Making time every day to get outside and not do very much will help your hormones, help you de-stress, help with that cortisol belly fat.
.
Clear your mind and breath.
.
Chronically elevated cortisol increases blood sugar levels, which then elevate insulin levels preparing the body for fight or flight…this, among other things, will stop you from burning fat no matter what exercise or diet program you follow.

During peri and post menopause women will find it even harder to manage blood glucose levels so…

…reducing that stress load will be a step in the right direction to losing that excess weight.
